Dim posto is a Bengali dish made with  poppy seeds paste. Serve with steam rice...

  • 6 boiled eggs
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tsp Paste : ginger, garlic, onion, green chilli and tomato
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp haldi powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 4 tbsp poppy seeds
  • as required Few chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil eggs with little salt and oil for 5 minutes. Once it is done. Keep aside and cool it. Take out the eggs shell. Transfer to a plate. Slit the eggs and marinate with haldi powder and salt. Keep aside for few minutes. Heat oil in a kadai. Fry the eggs for few minutes. Don't over fry the eggs.
  2. In the same kadai. Add little oil. When the oil is hot....Fry chopped onion till it is light brown in color. Then add haldi powder and salt saute it till the onions become tender and cooked well. In a blender add poppy seeds, onion, tomato, green chilli, ginger, red chilli make a fine paste.
  3. Pour the paste in a curry. Mix....well. till the oil separates from the Kadai. Then add water as needed and boiled for 1 minutes. Then add fried eggs.
  4. Cover and boil for 2 minutes.
  5. Once it is done.Transfer to a bowl.
  6. Sprinkle coriander leaves
  7. Ready to serve....with steam...rice...
