In Bengali new year I used to prepare mango chutney. This year I am preparing Bengali Recipes Sweet green grapes chutney with jaggery and few crushed cashew nuts...
Ingredients
- 1 bowl of green grapes
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder
- Few crushed cashew nuts
- 1 tsp rock salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 bowl grated jaggery or as needed
- 1 tsp oil
- For tadka
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 whole dry red chilly
- 1 bay leaf
Cooking Instructions
- First, wash grapes properly and drain the water. Keep aside.
- Grind the grapes coarsely and transfer them to a bowl.
- Heat oil in a Kadai.
- Add 1 bay leaf, mustard seeds, and 1 whole dry red chilly. Fry for a few minutes.
- Then add grind grapes. Saute it for a few minutes. Add whole grapes.Mix.it well and fry for 1 minute.
- Then add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, roasted cumin powder, fennel seeds powder, ginger powder, rock salt, and black pepper powder. Mix it well..
- Add enough water. Then add crushed jaggery and needed..
- Cover and cook till the jaggery is dissolved and the chutney is thick in consistency...Once it is done. Garnish with crushed cashew nuts
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Sweet green grapes are ready to serve...
