Paneer biryani recipe

Paneer Biryani Recipe is cooked with marinated cottage cheese and onions. This is ideal for one pot meal and the process of preparing biryani is simple and easy best suitable for bachelors. I have used only paneer and diced bell peppers you can add other vegetables as per your choice.

I have shared instant paneer biryani recipe in step by step method with a detailed pictures below. This is one of my favorite rice recipes

In a mixing bowl add red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder.

Add yogurt and mix it.

Now add paneer cubes, mix well and marinate till the rice is cooked.

Wash Basmati rice in a plenty of water soak them for 30 minutes . In a vessel boil water add salt and basmati rice cooked the rice till it’s 75% done. Now drain the rice. Add them to the paneer gravy.

In a deep bottom pan heat oil add whole cinnamon sticks, cardamom, cloves and bay leaf and whole pepper.

Now add onions saute till the onions turn golden brown add marinated paneer. Layer the paneer evenly in a pan.

Now heat 2 tablespoon of milk in a microwave or stove add 12-14 strands of saffron stir and keep aside.

Now add rice spread evenly.

sprinkle with fried onions, add ghee and saffron milk.

Cover the lid tightly, dum ( Steam ) and cook the paneer biryani for 10-12 minutes.

Cut and toss the bell peppers add them to the biryani for a nice flavor.

Serve paneer biryani with onion and cucumber raita.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups basmati rice/ long grain rice
  • 75 grams paneer
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cardamom
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 bell pepper
