Aloo Methi is a simple yet delicious sabji which can be prepared for your everyday Lunch Box or a side dish with your regular meals.
Ingredients
- 250-gram Fresh Methi leaves (Washed and chopped)
- 3 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seed
- 1/4 tsp Hing
- 2 tsp Garlic (Chopped)
- 1 Onion (Chopped)
- 3-4 Green Chilli (Chopped)
- Salt to taste
- 4 Potatoes (medium size)
Cooking Instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan.
- When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds, hing, and onion, garlic, green chilies.
- Cook till garlic turns slightly brown.
- Add potatoes, salt and cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Cover the pan and let the potatoes cook until they are almost cooked.
- Add methi leaves and mix well. Cover and cook 8 minutes on medium to slow flame.
- Check methi leaves cooked.
