Bread Cheese Sandwich

This is one of our favorite breakfasts and it does not take much time to make these cheese sandwiches. Just use a good fresh loaf of bread or even a day old (either whole wheat or multi-grain or oats for a healthier option). If using homemade bread, then don’t slice the bread thickly or thinly.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Rava / suji (coarse)
- ½ cup curd
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup water
- ½ carrot (finely chopped)
- ½ onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tbsp sweet corn
- ½ capsicum (finely chopped)
- 1 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)
- ½ tsp Eno
- >Butter (for greasing)
- 1 cheese slice (quartered)
Cooking Instructions
- Firstly, in a large bowl take 1 cup Rava, ½ cup curd, 1 tsp chilli flakes, and ½ tsp salt.
- Mix it well
- Add ½ cup water and combine well.
- Add ½ carrot, ½ onion, 2 tbsp sweet corn, ½ capsicum and 1 tbsp coriander.
- Mix well forming a thick batter.
- Rest for 10 minutes or until the Rava absorbs water.
- Further, add ¼ cup water and mix well forming a smooth batter.
- Now grease the sandwich maker with some butter.
- Just before preparing a sandwich, add ½ tsp eno fruit salt and mix gently.
- Once the batter turns frothy, transfer a tbsp of batter to the sandwich maker.
- Place a cheese slice. make sure the cheese slice is the size of the sandwich.
- Cover with the batter making sure it is uniformly covered.
- Now close the lid of the sandwich maker and press tight.
- Grill until the sandwich turns golden brown and is cooked uniformly.
- Finally, enjoy no bread sandwich with tomato sauce
