Nankhatai is an authentic Indian sweet and savory eggless cookie that can be easily prepared at home.
Ingredients
- Maida – 150 gms
- Ghee–120 gms
- Sugar - 85 gms
- Mixed spice powder - ½ tsp
- Rava 60 gms
- Vanilla essence ½ tsp
- Cardamoms – 4-5
- Almonds – few
Cooking Instructions
- Powder the sugar and cardamoms. Add the mix spice powder to it.
- Cream the ghee well in a thali with the palm of your hand.
- Add the sugar gradually and cream well.
- Add sieved maida and Rava adds essence and make a smooth dough.
- Form into small rounds.
- Make a cross in the center with a knife.
- Make a small criss-cross slit at the center and press some almonds on the nankhatai.
- Back on a greased tray at 175 c for 15-20 mins. Cool on a rack
