Soya Kebabs

Tasty and nutritious kebabs made with soya beans and other hot ingredients like chilies and condiments.
Ingredients
- 75 grams Soya Chunks
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 2 green chilies
- 6 to 7 cloves of garlic
- 1-inch ginger
- A handful of coriander leaves chopped
- A handful of mint leaves chopped
- 2 tbsp wheat flour/besan/plain flour
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 1 tsp pepper
- Salt as per taste
- Oil for frying
Cooking Instructions
- Soak the soya chunks in hot water for around an hour.
- Meanwhile, in a small jar make a paste out of ginger, garlic, and green chilies.
- Squeeze out all the water from the soya chunks and grind it coarse in a mixer.
- It should not be ground into a paste rather just enough for it to be rolled into patties.
- Saute the onions lightly in ghee and set aside. Mix the ginger, garlic, and chilly paste with this.
- Now add all the spices, onion, coriander leaves, mint leaves, salt, and a binding agent (atta/maida/besan).
- Mix this well and roll it into kebabs. If it breaks add some more atta or maida and balance out the spices if needed by adding more and roll it.
- Shallow fry kebabs with little oil in a frying pan or makes patties and deep fry it.
