Turmeric Milk

Turmeric Milk or Haldi Doodh is a comforting drink made with milk, turmeric, and warm spices.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1-inch crushed ginger or ginger powder
- 1 tsp jaggery or honey
Cooking Instructions
- Heat the milk on medium heat.
- Add 1/2 tsp turmeric, jaggery, and crushed ginger.
- Stir and mix well making sure everything is well combined.
- Bring to a low flame and simmer for 5 minutes. You don’t need to boil it but it should be nicely hot throughout.
- Switch off the flame, cover pan with a plate or lid, and let it sit for another 5 minutes for the flavors to steep in. You can alternatively use sugar for sweetness or totally avoid it.
- Strain the turmeric milk using a strainer into serving cups.
