Bread Ras Malai

This is an instant version of the traditional Ras Malai recipe which is prepared from bread slices. Typically Ras Malai is prepared from paneer or chenna which is soaked in Rabdi with dry fruits. This is an ideal Indian dessert recipe that can be easily served to surprising guests and perhaps even kids would love it.

  • 2-liter milk
  • sweet condensed milk 1/2 cup of Sugar
  • Milk Powder – 2 tbsp.
  • green cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons almonds
  • 2 tablespoons pistachios
  • 2 tablespoons cashew nuts
  • Saffron – 5-8
  • Bread slice – 8 -10
Cooking Instructions
  1. Boil 2-liter milk in a heavy bottom pan, stir and reduce the heat to medium, keep stirring till the milk starts thickening & reduced to half.
  2. Add pistachios, almonds & Stir.
  3. Add milk powder & stir well without any lumps, then add saffron strands soaked in milk for 2 mins.
  4. Add condensed milk, cardamom powder & keep stirring, cook it for 5 more mins.
  5. Let it cool down completely.
  6. Cut the bread slices into circles, drop the bread rounds in the ras malai & let it rest for 1 min.
  7. Transfer to the plate Sprinkles some pistachios & almonds serve immediately.
  8. Refrigerate the Bread Ras Malai for a few hours before serving.
  9. You can garnish dry fruits or saffron too as per your taste.

Chill and serve.
