Cucumber Raita is a variation of raita that can be used as a dip or a salad. It is made by mixing together freshly chopped cucumber, green chilies, dahi, and optionally finely chopped tomato and onion. It is especially popular in the summer months as it helps to beat the heat. It is the simplest preparation and can be prepared in no time.
Ingredients
- Curds – 1 cup
- Cucumber – 1 small
- Roasted Cumin – 1 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper Powder – to taste
- Coriander leaves Chopped
Cooking Instructions
- Peel and grate the cucumber. Keep aside.
- Take curd in a big bowl and whisk till gate smooth consistency.
- Add jeera, salt, and pepper powder to taste.
- Add cucumber mix well.
- Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve Cucumber raita with rice, pulao, or parathas.
Note:
- Use thick yogurt. It should not be sour.
- As your choice add black salt, red chili powder, green chili and chaat masala add in raita
