Fruit Custard

Fruit curd is a dessert spread and topping usually made with citrus fruit, such as lemon, lime, orange, or tangerine. Other flavor variations include passion fruit, mango, and berries such as raspberries, cranberries or blackberries.

Ingredients
  • 1-liter full cream milk
  • 2 tbsp custard powder
  • 3 tbsp cold milk
  • 1 cup sugar /as per taste
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder

FRUITS:

  • 2 banana chopped
  • Half cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • Almonds 8 to 10 for garnishing
Cooking Instructions

HOW TO PREPARE CUSTARD MILK:

  1. Firstly, in a thick bottomed pan add milk
  2. Stir occasionally and get the milk to boil
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl take 2 tbsp of custard powder. I have used vanilla flavour custard powder.
  4. Add 3-4 tbsp of milk and mix well.
  5. Stir continuously, making sure there are no lumps formed in it.
  6. Once the milk has boiled, turn off the flame and pour the prepared custard mixture into it.
  7. Also add sugar. adjust then amount of sugar if looking for sweeter fruit custard.
  8. mix continuously, keeping the flame on low.
  9. the milk changes color to dark yellow.
  10. furthermore, it thickens slightly. adjust the consistency by cooking for a long time.
  11. transfer to a small bowl and cool completely.

HOW TO PREPARE FRUIT CUSTARD:

  1. Once the prepared custard milk has cooled completely, add chopped fruits of your choice.
  2. Add banana, pomegranate seeds and apple
  3. Also add cardamom powder and mix gently and garnish wid chopped almonds
  4. Chill for 2 hours or more.
  5. Once the custard fruit has chilled, it turns more thick and creamy.

Finally, serve fruit custard chilled.
