Gulab jamun recipe with milk powder or khoya. Traditionally it was made using Khoya (Mava). But Khoya is not easily available in many places and it is difficult to make at home. I am using ready-made Gulab Jamun powder which is easily available at grocery stores.

Ingredients
  • 100gm Gulab Jamun powder
  • Crushed Cardamom (3 - 4 pieces)
  • Oil
  • Sugar
  • Water (for sugar syrup)
  • Milk
Cooking Instructions
  1. Take a large bowl, put Gulab Jamun powder, milk, and crushed cardamom together.
  2. Mix it until it is well blended.
  3. Knead the dough until dough is slightly sticky and refuses to leave the fingers
  4. After that, keep the mixture aside for 20 minutes.
  5. In a pan, take sugar, water, and a pinch of cardamom. Boil it for a minute. Keep the mixture aside.
  6. Now in the large pan, put oil (almost of the pan) and boil it for at least 5 minutes.
  7. Now make a 15-20 small ball of blended Gulab Jamun
  8. Put 2-3 small ball of Gulab Jamun at a time in the pan and boil it till it becomes red.
  9. Remove the Gulab Jamun and using paper to soak extra oil with the help of spoon.
  10. Keep it aside for cooling.
  11. Now, put all the Gulab Jamun in the sugar syrup and boil it for 4-5 minutes.
  12. Now ready to serve it.
