Paneer Paratha, a stuffed Indian flatbread made with whole wheat flour, homemade paneer, desi ghee, Indian spices and fresh coriander
Ingredients
- Wheat flour - 2 cups
- Paneer - 200 gms
- Onion - 1 no (finely chopped)
- Ghee or Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
- Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Amchur powder - 1/4th tsp
- Garam masala - 1/4th tsp
- Green chilies - 2 nos (finely chopped)
- Red chili powder - 1/4th tsp
- Salt to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Take wheat flour in mixing bowl and add 1/2 tsp salt. Keep adding small portions of water and knead a soft dough. Cover and keep the dough aside for 20 minutes.
- For stuffing - grate paneer in mixing bowl, add chopped onion, coriander powder, amchur powder, red chili powder, garam masala, green chilies, coriander leaves and salt. Mix it well
- After 20 minutes, knead a dough little bit using ghee or oil. Make a pedha out of it and roll it out to 4-5 inches diameter.
- Put 2-3 tsp stuffing over the rolled paratha. Close the stuffing by lifting the paratha from all sides.
- Press gently with your palm and spread the stuffing evenly. Coat it with dry flour and roll it out from the edges first.
- Heat the Tawa and spread ghee evenly on it. Put your paratha to roast on medium flame. Apply ghee on both sides and roast well.
