Aloo Pakoda

Aloo Pakoda perfect tea-time snacks.

Ingredients
  • Potato - 2 (Medium size)
  • Besan - 1 cup
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chaat masala -1/4 tsp
  • Pinch of hing
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions
  1. Wash, Peel the potatoes & slice them.
  2. Take a bowl, add besan, turmeric, red chilli powder, chaat masala, hing, ginger garlic paste.
  3. Add water slowly(without forming any lumps) and make flowing consistency batter, the batter should not be too thick or thin but it should coat the potato slice.
  4. Dip the sliced potato into prepared besan batter and coat it completely. Heat oil in a wide deep pan and medium-high.
  5. Fry the Aloo slice from both the sides till they are crisp and golden in color (stir occasionally).
  6. Serve Aloo Pakoda's with green chutney or tomato ketchup.
