Crispy Chakli

Chakli is a must part of almost everyone's list when Diwali is around the corner. So let's make it one step healthier. Super crunchy and super delicious. It is an awesome and flawless snack to prepare at home. There is nothing fancy about this snack yet it is very interesting to make as well to eat. It has a circular spiral shape with the crunchy texture and savoury taste.

The Chakli recipe is easy to follow and simple to make at home.

  • Chakli aata/bhajni (2 kg)
  • Sesame Seeds (3 tbsp)
  • Red chilli Powder (3 tbsp)
  • Turmeric Powder(1 ½ tbsp)
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Oil (4-5 tbsp) (and for fry)
Cooking Instructions
  1. Add oil, water, sesame seeds, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder
  2. Mix well
  3. Cover it for 30 - 45 minutes
  4. Make a soft dough
  5. Add little by little hot water and make a tight dough
  6. Take chakli maker
  7. Make a smooth roll with the help of little hot water
  8. Add this dough in the chakli make
  9. And make a chakli like this
  10. Now our chaklis are ready to fry
  11. Heat the oil
  12. Fry all chaklis like this in medium flame
  13. Flip it and fry another side

Now chakli is ready
