Badam Halwa

A rich South Indian style delicious halwa made with blanched almonds, ghee (clarified butter), and sugar. This delicious badam halwa recipe is one of the best badam ka halwa that you can make. It will remind you of the badam halwa which one gets in South Indian sweets shops. It is considered to be a very special dessert & is prepared during special occasions. It is also given as a return gift during wedding & religious ceremonies.

Ingredients
  • ½ kg almonds/badam
  • Hot water to soak
  • 250-gram milk
  • 250-gram ghee / clarified butter
  • 150-gram sugar n as a taste
  • 2 cup hot water
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder / elachi powder
Cooking Instructions
  1. Firstly soak almonds in enough hot water for 30 minutes.
  2. Further, peel the skin of badam and transfer it to the blender.
  3. Also, add in ¼ cup milk.
  4. Blend to smooth paste.
  5. Transfer the badam paste into the large Kadai.
  6. Add in a tbsp of ghee.
  7. Saute on low to medium flame.
  8. Continue stir badam and add remaining ghee
  9. Badam ka paste regular chalte rehna hai
  10. Jab badam paste brown hone lage then add milk
  11. Milk dalte hi flame Tez karni hai and continues chalna hai
  12. Now add elachi powder n sugar
  13. Stir continuously till the sugar dissolve completely.
  14. Now add water keeping the flame on low-medium, stir till the mixture thickens
  15. Stir till the mixture separates the pan and ghee oozes out from the sides.

Finally, serve badam halwa
