Omelette in the Hole

Best thing about this recipe is that it has different varieties can be prepared quickly. You can use various veggies, mix it up as per your liking just as you do while creating an omelette.

You can change the ingredients in the omelet as you like it depending on your favorites. If you want to make a quick breakfast, use whatever you have in your kitchen.

Ingredients
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2 cheese cube
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • butter (for cooking omelet)
Cooking Instructions
  1. Finely chop the onion & the veggies. Keep it aside.
  2. Break 3 eggs into the cup. Add salt & pepper as per taste. Whisk the egg & mixture nicely. Keep it aside.
  3. Take two bread slices (one over the other) and cut out the inside creating a hlilow crust. Keep it aside.
  4. Heat the pan, add butter or oil
  5. Switch the heat to slow flame.
  6. Once the butter starts to sizzle you can add onion first & then other veggies
  7. Saute the chopped onions ( mix the onions in butter/oil). Once the onion starts to cook. Add veggies ( capsicum, tomato) into the onion. Sauté everything together. If needed you can add salt.
  8. Move the veggies from the pan to the plate.
  9. Add butter and place the hlilow bread crusts on it. Fill the veggies into the center of the hlilow bread crust.
  10. Slowly add/pour the egg on the hlilow veggie stuffing section.
  11. Sprinkle the cheese on the egg. Finally, place the sliced out bread on top of the cheese & press it down slightly.
  12. Once the egg is cooked, use a spatola & flip it. Let the other side cook. Just like in an omlette let the egg cook nicely. Once both the sides of the egg are cooked. Turn the heat off.
  13. Your "Omelette in the Hlie" is ready to serve.
