Vada Pav is a popular Indian street food that originated from Maharashtra. It's the most loved snack. Breakfast Lunch or Dinner -Vada pav is the best, sometimes spelled vada pav or Vada Pav, which is a popular spicy vegetarian fast-food dish native to the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Gram Flour Water, as required
- 3 Potatoes, boiled and mashed
- For Tadka:
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 7-8 Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Green Chilli Crush
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt to taste
- Coriander Leaves
- Oil for deep frying
Cooking Instructions
- In a small tadka vessel heat some oil.
- Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Then add curry leaves and switch off the flame.
- Add ginger garlic green chilli crush and turmeric powder. Give a stir. Let this mixture cool down.
- In another bowl add boiled and mashed potatoes. Add the cooled tadka. Also, add salt to taste and coriander leaves. Mix everything well. Make medium size vadas and keep them ready.
- In a bowl add gram flour, turmeric powder, and very little salt. Add water as required and make a pouring consistency batter.
- Dip the vadas in the batter and put them in hot oil for frying.
- Fry these batata vadas on golden brown color.
- Slit the pav. Place one vada in the center. Put some dry chutney. Close it properly.
Vada Pav is ready.
